Having just finished A.W. Tozer’s “Pursuit of God” earlier this week, I’ve collected five great turns of phrase to share. A.W. Tozer is a master of juicy quotable nuggets – so narrowing it down to five was challenging to say the least….
“God is so vastly wonderful, so utterly and completely delightful that God can, without anything other than Divine Essence, meet and overflow the deepest demand of our total nature, mysterious and deep as that nature is.”
“Ten million intelligences standing at as many points in space and separated by incomprehensible distances can each one say with equal truth, God is here. No point is nearer to God than any other point.”
“While we are looking at God we do not see ourselves – blessed riddance.”
“When religion has said it’s last word, there is little that we need other than the very person of God.”
